Where do I start? #
Fill out this onboarding form! It only takes about two minutes and helps us both get in contact with you and get a better idea of your skills and interests. Once you fill it out, we’ll reach out to you to provide a link to our Signal groupchats.
Also subscribe to our group calendar to keep up with all the events we’re hosting, both local and virtual. Feel free to drop in on an event!
Local Events #
Most of our activity is conducted through local chapters who regularly meet either to hold discussions on various FOSS topics or work on group projects and workshops.
As of September 2026, we have four chapters offically active and regularly meeting: Boston, Maryland, New York City, and San Francisco.
Don’t see your area? We have a wiki page listing other areas with members looking to start chapters. Additionally, if you are interested in starting one yourself, read this page for further instructions.
Virtual Events #
Don’t have a chapter near you? Want to connect with B40 members across the country? We host a variety of virtual sessions and groups for those looking to plug in with the wider B40 network.
